The POLIMI School of Management – Manufacturing Group is an academic entity based in Milan, Italy. The group’s expertise covers all the fields and disciplines related to the manufacturing mega-sector. The Manufacturing Group has been working and collaborating with the cosmetic industry for several years in many successful activities, thanks to its specific expertise in participation and coordination of publicly funded projects (e.g., Horizon Europe), industrial consultancy projects, and design and delivery of tailored training programs and courses. Through the years, the Manufacturing Group has proved to be able to support cosmetic sector actors in the following types of activities:

• Environmental sustainability assessment and advisory (e.g., Life Cycle Assessment, Carbon Footprint, Circularity Assessment, Support in Sustainability Reporting, and in the Eco-Labelling process).
• Optimization of cosmetic manufacturing processes (e.g., identification of advanced technological solutions to support processes optimisation, with related cost-benefit analysis, Energy Efficiency Auditing, and Design of strategic roadmaps for green transition and twin transition, suppliers rating).
• Other activities supporting companies along their sustainable, digital, and circular transitions.
